I am a clinical psychologist and suicidologist who specializes in the study and treatment of suicidal thoughts and behaviors, non-suicidal self-injury, borderline personality disorder, and related clinical presentations.
My clinical approach integrates trauma-informed and humanistic principles with evidence-based strategies, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT), and the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS). I primarily work with adolescents and young adults, as well as their family members, offering care that is grounded in both compassion and clinical rigor.
Currently a full-time clinical faculty member, I remain actively involved in research and maintain collaborative partnerships with several research labs. In addition to my academic endeavors, I run a small private practice and provide clinical training, consultation, and supervision to mental health professionals and organizations.
Please note that I do not take doctoral students nor do I hire research assistants.
